Governing law

These Terms of Use are governed by and are to be interpreted in accordance with the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

Our commitment to you

Cerebral Palsy Alliance respects and upholds your rights to privacy protection under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) including how we collect, use and disclose and hold your personal information. The information we request from you prior to and during your training program is used in training program administration and academic record keeping.

We aim to apply best practice to ensure privacy is protected and respected.

Disclosure of personal information

Cerebral Palsy Alliance will not release an individual’s information to any other person or organisation without express written permission from the individual, or the disclosure that is required under law.

Right to access of own information

If an individual wishes to gain access to their own personal or academic information held by Cerebral Palsy Alliance they may submit a written request to the Training Alliance Team through the contact details on the website.

Course Payments and Confirmation

  1. To ensure a place in a non accredited online course, fees must be paid in full upon enrolment in the course unless alternative payment terms have previously been agreed between the parties.
  2. On successful completion of the online course a digital certificate will be available to download.

Cancellations

Cancellation by Training Alliance

Access to online courses is for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.

If access to a Training Alliance online course is removed by Training Alliance, participants and external organisations are offered the opportunity to transfer to another equivalent online course.

Cancellation notification is given by Training Alliance to participants and external organisations;

  • in writing if there is a written agreement for the training
  • online via the course site if there is no written agreement for the training

Cancellation by organisations and groups (non-accredited training)

If an organisation cancels a managed licence booking in a Training Alliance online course, the organisation is offered;

  • to transfer to another equivalent online course at no extra cost
  • a full refund at no extra cost if no training has been accessed; or
  • A pro-rata refund dependant on the amount of training that has been accessed based on the applicable per user rate .

Service level agreements may contain additional fee information.

Application for Refund

Requests for full or partial refunds must be made in writing and submitted to Training Alliance email: training@cerebralpalsy.org.au

Fee Complaints/Disputes

Any complaints or disputes regarding refunds are to be referred to Training Alliance email: training@cerebralpalsy.org.au for handling in accordance with our complaints policy; a copy is available on request.
