Online learning, also known as e-learning, is a type of education that takes place over the internet or via a digital platform. This means that you can learn new skills and knowledge from the workplace or home, at any time that suits you.
Online learning provides a flexible and convenient way for individuals to learn new skills and knowledge. This is because you can access the materials and resources from anywhere with an internet connection. Online learning also allows for self-paced learning, which means you can work at your own speed and take breaks when you need to.
Disability support workers can benefit from online learning in several ways. For example, online learning can provide them with the opportunity to upskill and gain new knowledge and techniques to better support individuals with disabilities. It can also provide a convenient way for them to complete mandatory training and stay up to date with compliance requirements.
We offer a variety of online learning modules specifically designed for disability support workers including topics such as healthcare (Assist with medications, Nutrition for people with disability, Oral hygiene for people with disability, etc.), workplace safety (Fire and Security, WHS awareness and duty of care), and awareness and inclusion programs. Other modules cover areas such as transport, preventing violence and abuse, and infection prevention and control.
Our online learning modules can be accessed via our Learner Management System (LMS).
Course durations vary from 15 minutes to 2 hours, with the majority lasting around 1 hour. The suggested duration for each course can be found on the course description page.
When you sign up for our online courses, we collect your personal information to confirm your identity and ensure a secure learning environment. We handle your data carefully and comply with privacy laws.
