This course covers the requirements under WHS Regulation 2011 and includes:

  • Minimise any adverse impact on the safety or health of people and their environment in a fire emergency.
  • Learn how to identify and use equipment within your workplace.
  • Familiarisation with automated fire systems and equipment
  • Site emergency and evacuation plans
  • Explore what to do in the event of other emergencies using a colour coded Emergency Response Guide.
  • Evacuation and communications of emergencies in line with AS 3745 - 2010 ‘Planning for emergencies in facilities’ and AS 4083 - 2010 'Planning for emergencies - Health care facilities.'
  • Fire extinguishers choice and use.
